Pros

Embarkation, quick and easy.

Ship in great shape for its age and noticed some improvements since I cruised her three years ago.

Food off the charts...everything I had was great..really liked the ox tongue. I have 9 extra pounds to prove it.

Music was great, both the band and guitar soloist.

Service...could not have asked for better.

Comedy was good.

I missed the shows due to late seating time (first and last time I do that)

Dance club was great..DJ did a lot of old school.

Spa, I got a good price on massage on last sea day, so I treated myself to one. It was great.

Met some great people and had a great time just hanging out.

Self Debarkation...quick and easy.

Cons

Excursion booked through Carnival canceled due to strike, wish we would have been notified earlier so we could have booked through another provider, also do not like being lied to about cause of cancellation. :(

New alcohol pickup...really not bad...but they also brought ONE customs agent on board to pay overages. He did all paper work by hand, very slow process. I'm not sure whose idea this was.

All in all a great trip...I booked another on board for the Sunshine next year....Happy sailing.

Thank you for your review! Could you please share more about what happened with your excursion? Which one was cancelled?

Thanks!

All excursions involving snorkeling that were booked through CC were canceled, I got a phone call around 11am in my cabin letting me know. This was in Grand Turk. I was told it was because of a mechanical issue with catamaran. Later heard announcement by CD that all snorkeling excursion had been cancelled. Some people I met on cruise had booked excursion outside of carnival..they were told that contractors for CC were on strike. I find that easier to believe than all the boats broke down at same time.

Anyway we made the best of it and had a great time.

Yall will have a great time on Fantasy!

Just add that Duty-free seemed cheaper in Grand Turk.

Customs charged $2.85 per (extra) liter as opposed to the $2 they told us in fun shops.

Not a biggie, but just thought I'd throw that in.
