Assigned check in time?

Anybody receiving calls and/or emails close to sailing from Carnival giving a time to check in at the port and if you are early you may be told to wait? We did, they said our check in time is 12:30-1:30.

Yes, that is standard. We show up around 1030 and are on ship by 11.

We always arrive early and board early. Just never received a specific hour window of time to check in. I plan on ignoring it.:D

We are platinum and have cruised 40 times. We boarded twice right after noon and never before then. I'm not a fan of sitting around waiting, so we usually check in for Carnival at about 11am or so.

 

Platinum also on Princess and do the same. But we don't have status on Royal Caribbean (sailing again in January) so we wait and arrive mid-afternoon.
