Cabins becoming available after final payment due.

I am just wondering if there are a lot of cabins that come available after final payment is due because people cancel? We have 4 cabins on our upcoming January cruise and 2 have OBC due to price matching the other 2 were booked after the sales. Now the whole deck is sold out! I am wondering if lots of people cancel or get cancelled when final payment is due? Anyone had experience with this?

Some people do cancel but I think most of the cabin openings that occur after final payment are blocks of unsold cabins returned by travel agencies.
