Connecting cabins - noise from next door?

Bonnie - I really wanted a comment on whether or not to believe our TA re our original room being sold. Why should we put up with what is classed as an upgrade just because it is further towards midships, but is a less desirable room? We specifically chose 4004 as it is not under the casino and is not a connecting room. Is it probable that 4004 is now sold? We really don't want 4018 but our TA is only offering to see what they can do if we pay for a further upgrade. Why should we? We want our original room back!!!

Hello margbem, I do feel for you and totally understand you are upset. That said I cannot involve myself in any individual bookings or customer service issues. Your best recourse is to communicate with the UK MD Richard Twynam. Have you or your agent reached out to him yet?

Thank you to Bonnie and to Phil. I was waiting to email Mr Twyman as I had read somewhere that he was on leave. I have now done this after instruction from Bonnie and understand that he is back in his office on Monday. Thank you for your help and advice. We hope we can resolve this. Looking forward to our first Azamara cruise.

Surprised at that as I'm fairly sure the connecting cabins always have just a chair. I don't think the cabin crew would want to be moving sofa's in and out of the cabin depending on whether people need the connecting door open or not!

I think I have had three connecting cabins in the past and from memory, they all had just the chair. Maybe you were just lucky Ebeth or maybe I was just unlucky!

We were in 4019 in August 2014 - a connecting cabin almost opposite 4018. We did have a sofa and did not suffer any noise at all from our neighbours (but I'm sure some people do!). Also, cabin is under area actually between theatre and casino - we experienced no noise from either. Only noise was when they lowered the tender gangway entrance below. Very handy cabin for elevators and stairs!

I agree. I was in 4027 and did hear some noise from the tender station, but it wasn't too bad. The location is so handy. Close to forward lifts, down the hall for Guest Relations and up the stairs from there for Mosaic Cafe. One of the best locations on the ship in my view.

Phil
