Ship's time for Equinox?

We are booked on Equinox in December. The itinerary shows the ship arriving in St Maarten at 8:00am. We are interested in an excursion (not through Celebrity) that departs at 8:30. If the ship follows local time, we should be OK, But if they follow US ET, this won't work.

 

Does anyone know?

Did you check to see if you dock or tender? If you tender don't expect to get off the ship quickly.

It will be 8:00AM Local Time (-4UTC) or one (1) hour ahead of the US East Coast Time Zone. This will also be the ship's time.

You will not tender in St. Maarten. The ship's clocks will be set to local time.

The independent excursion people know that sometimes ships are late. Just get off as soon as you can and they should be there for you.

Ship's time is always local time except on a TA cruise where they change one hour every night for six days in a row. Claudia is correct. Independent tour companies know you do not all disembark at the same time.
