MaiTaiMary Posted October 5, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2015 What time do the waterslides open on the Breeze on Sea days? Thanks.:)
trvlgirlmq Posted October 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2015 I can't recall the opening times but on our first 2 sea days in May they never opened due to wind. This seems to be the norm when going South.
ToddnMichelle Posted October 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2015 What time do the waterslides open on the Breeze on Sea days? Thanks.:) I was just thinking about this on Friday for my family. Thanks for posting!
k2excursion Posted October 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2015 They could be closed due to high winds, but I don't think that it's that the norm for them to be closed anytime they're going south. I have taken 5 cruises on Dream class ships, and they have almost always been able to keep their scheduled hours, even when winds were strong. It's either 9am or 10am that they open, and they close at 6pm.
surfjock27 Posted October 6, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2015 The normal is 9a to 6p on sea and port days. Like others have said, sometimes the wind plays a factor. I remember in one port they didn't open Waterworks until around 2:30p because of the wind. Have fun, the Breeze is amazing! We'll Be sailing her for the 3rd time in 60 days. :)

Nic6318 Posted December 17, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 17, 2015 The one time I was on the Breeze I remember waiting to go down the waterslides on what I thought were very windy days. While they didn't close the waterslides, they did close the ropes course, which is somewhat more protected from the prevailing winds. I don't know how they determine when to close either venue, but I would suggest that if you wanted to go on the ropes course and you see it's open, go right away because in my experience if you came back later there was a good chance that it would be closed. have a great cruise
cruiseonthebrain Posted December 18, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 18, 2015 I think they started at 0900. But it could have been 1000. One thing- don't count on them being open on port days because the ship sometimes runs drills then and the folks manning the slides have to report to their drill duty stations. They will be open sometimes on port days, but may close without notice. Understandable I think.
