Tara Jane Posted October 6, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2015 We didnt do a ships excursion, just got off the ship and negotiated with a driver to take the 4 of us in our group and another 4 from the ship to Luca and Pisa. had a great day. We had previously spent time in Florence so decided to have the time in Pisa and Luca rather than a rushed trip to all 3.
Fifer Posted October 6, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2015 Pisa has the Piazza dei Miracoli, of course, a number of churches and some interesting architecture on either bank of the River Arno. Lucca's complete city walls encompass the old town which has a number of fascinating squares and streets to explore. Walking the walls is also a popular and satisfying experience. Doing both in a day is feasible and worthwhile. If it were me, I would spend more time in Lucca.
