Just Peachy Liberty Canada/NE Cruise

Recommended Posts

I am loving these pictures.. I"m getting very excited for the 12 night repositioning cruise on Liberty. (we leave in 23 days!) I decided to go for a hump balcony, but your awesome pictures make me think maybe next time I'll brave the longer walk and get an aft again.

Thanks! Yes, you should try that cabin (or the other side). I didn't mind the walk at all and I'm pretty old.

Back to it...... Ports continued:

Nova Scotia

This has been on my bucket list for a while so I was really looking forward to this port. We took the RCCL Peggy's Cove and Double Decker Bus excursion. It was a very long ride to Peggy's Cove with a tour guide who was most informative but never stopped talking for a second. Upon arrival to lovely Peggy's Cove there were at least ten other buses there. It was absolutely gorgeous and I'm so glad I was able to visit but........I spent ten of our allotted 60 minutes waiting in line for the restroom. There was no room to even get into any of the gift shops. Holy cow what a mess of a crowd. Our tour guide said some days see even more tour buses -- yikes!!

By the time we returned we were afraid to go very far on the double decker bus so we just took it a couple stops away to the boardwalk area along the water. Here we had some wonderful scallops and cod and then explored the area on a lovely walk back to the ship.

Ports continued:

Boston

We lived in Cape Cod and worked in Boston some 25 years ago so are very familiar with Boston. It was good to come back.

We took a ship shuttle to Quincy Market for $30 round trip for the two of us. Maybe a taxi is just as cheap but I didn't check it out.

Again we had some wonderful fried fish and ooooooh that crab salad.

This officer agreed to let me photograph him and even slowed his trusty steed for me!

It was a very lovely day and a fitting final port. Boston is on my list of favorite cities.

I'm not sure this view from our balcony is in Boston but according to the date the photo was taken, it is. Anyhoo, I'm sticking it here.

To Quench Your Thirst

Drinks:

We usually had our before dinner drinks that were pre-loaded on the sea pass at Bolero's, the Champagne Bar, or Hoof and Claw Pub (the best). We are not big drinkers and usually only had two all evening. The concierge lounge is very small and crowded. Catacombs was designated for overflow and the one evening we went there we could not even find a table. The ocean view diamond lounge on this class of ship is much nicer than the interior concierge lounge. I usually got my morning lattes in the diamond lounge but never went there in the evenings.

Foo Foo drinks not complimentary for diamond and up

I love a frozen mudslide

Included rum punch and screwdriver. DH set up kissing oranges on our anniversary evening -- awwwww.
