Yes, the food is free. It is easiest to think of the island as an extension of the ship. What is free on the ship is free on the island; charged on the ship = charged on the island. Get up and go to the beverage stations = complimentary soft drinks. Get a can from a roaming server on the beach = pay.

Yes, all the food on the island comes from the ship.

All the food is located in one area for lunch. The drinks and ice cream station are located there as well. Its fairly centrally located but you will still need to walk a bit to get there.

If you do like a beverage or two, there are staff that will walk along the beach offering drinks for sale.

I thought the free BBQ lunch buffet on the island was delicious! If you like spicy, try the spicy chicken sandwich. It's delightful. The ribs were also pretty good. Didn't try the burgers or hot dogs.

We were there on Tuesday, and the main location, Cookies, was open 11:30am-2:00pm. I am not sure if the adults only or Cookies Too had different operating hours.
