horatio123 Posted October 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2015 So you have all already helped me figure out that Aqua is not a must unless it comes reasonably and that a regular veranda stateroom should just be fine...As a newbie I thought midship would be the way to go to test the waters so to speak.....I have been given stateroom 9132 which is quite forward. Any opinions on this deck, this location...

It seems like a normal cabin, albeit forward. You have cabins above you so noise should not be an issue and based upon the reviews of that particular cabin, it appears not to have any particular complaints. Obviously, it is a bit forward and on an upper deck so you might get some extra movement but that will depend on your particular cruise, weather etc. Here is the thread for those cabins from the S-Class cabin discussion.....http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=18333955&highlight=9132#post18333955
bigbenboys Posted October 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2015 We like the Aqua cabins. I like my cabin to be center/center or center/aft. I want to stay away from the spa or gym. I like being close to the pool and the buffet. When we did our Panama cruise I made sure we were on the north side of the ship. Less sun on the deck. It gets very hot in Panama. wallie5446 Posted October 15, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2015 As I mentioned before, we do not feel there is a bad cabin to be had on an S-Class ship. You will not feel any different movement than those in a mid or aft. The view out to sea will be wonderful.
Sandy1975 Posted October 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) You could always see if there is something in the same category that is more towards the mid section and change. This might be just me but my last cabin was forward and it was pretty windy compared to other verandas that were more in the middle. It could had been just the time of year and location I was sailing too so maybe others can offer more opinions on forward cabins and wind. If I remember right they are in the ceiling and need to be unlocked by the cabin staff.
