A&Jfamily Posted October 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Anyone tied the Ji-Ji restaurant on the Sunshine. Would like feed back. Thanks as always Delicious and well worth the up-charge. They have things that you don't find in your typical american restaurants like pork belly. The dishes are served family style and the number of people dining with you dictates how many appetizers, entrees and deserts you may order to be shared among you. You can run a search and find the menu, but the waitstaff is always happy to make recommendations. There wasn't anything we didn't like. I would eat there again. kublaieod Posted October 16, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Highly recommend this restaurant. The $15 upcharge is a joke compared to the quality of food and service you receive. You won't be disappointed.
JJC Posted October 16, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Thank you for the reviews on Ji-Ji. Will be sure to try it.
Rare crewsweeper Posted October 16, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2015 On 2 Sunshine cruises over the last 18months, DW and SIL loved eating at Ji-Ji's. IIRC, DW said they cancelled a steakhouse reservation :eek:to eat there a second time same cruise last spring.
hbrote Posted October 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 16, 2015 It's been awhile but the meal we had at Ji Ji were fantastic if you like this type of food. There Kung Pao Chicken was simply delightful.
johnnyf0614 Posted October 16, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Offhand, do they have a children's menu? Or do the kids just order off of the main menu? I'm assuming kids are allowed as well...
420cruisin Posted October 16, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Jijis is absolutely amazing. I wish it was on more ships. I do not believe they have a kids menu.
CruisingSoon88 Posted October 16, 2015 #9 Share Posted October 16, 2015 We loved Ji Ji's and ate there twice on our cruise. The food was served family style so you get to try different dishes. My kids were 5 and 8 when we went and they loved it. They do not have a kids menu, but my boys loved everything that they ate there.
KARTI1955 Posted October 16, 2015 #10 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Amazing. Wish they had JiJi on all ships. The food is to die for and the service is great.
bjd2 Posted October 17, 2015 #11 Share Posted October 17, 2015 Our dinner there was very good and well worth the charge. Cucina was so much better though. Our most memorable meal of the entire cruise on the Sunshine.
MarcelLucSell Posted October 17, 2015 #12 Share Posted October 17, 2015 JiJi's was delicious. Lots of food, nice and spicy. We didn't have a reservation but went later in the evening and had no problem getting a spot. We did do the Mongolian Wok for lunch almost daily. A very popular option. denrusk Posted October 17, 2015 #13 Share Posted October 17, 2015 I agree with everyone so far, this was by far the best meal we ever had on a cruise, steakhouse included.

Cincy Gal Posted October 18, 2015 #16 Share Posted October 18, 2015 Yumm... Can't wait to try in a few weeks. Thanks for the info.
denrusk Posted October 18, 2015 #17 Share Posted October 18, 2015 Family style? What if you're solo?? I don't think it would be an issue. They recommend a certain number of choices based on the number of people in your party. We had 2 teen boys with us and had no issues ordering extra, so I would think if you wanted to try a few dishes they would accommodate you in some way. Pami1968 Posted November 2, 2015 #18 Share Posted November 2, 2015 Family style? What if you're solo?? I plan to try it on my cruise in a couple of weeks and I'm solo. I'll let you know how that works out.
bwelborn Posted November 2, 2015 #19 Share Posted November 2, 2015 Loved it! I will say though to skip the shrimp dumpling for appetizer-they were terrible.
EmmasNana Posted November 2, 2015 #20 Share Posted November 2, 2015 I was thinking that I read if you go on the first night and/or elegant night that you received a free bottle of wine, like at the steak house. Is this true? I also thought the same thread said it was also done at Cucina? Any truth to any of this or was it a dream?
420cruisin Posted December 14, 2015 #21 Share Posted December 14, 2015 I was thinking that I read if you go on the first night and/or elegant night that you received a free bottle of wine, like at the steak house. Is this true? I also thought the same thread said it was also done at Cucina? Any truth to any of this or was it a dream? Yes this is true. We went the first night at jijis and got a carafe of sangria I believe. And every pay restaurant was like that
Lunar Blue Posted December 20, 2015 #22 Share Posted December 20, 2015 Just off of Sunshine today and have to say that JiJis was excellent. As someone earlier mentioned, definitely worth the additional $15 per person. The service is fantastic and the food is awesome. We went twice on this 10 night cruise and loved both of them. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Topo Gigio Posted December 20, 2015 #24 Share Posted December 20, 2015 I plan to try it on my cruise in a couple of weeks and I'm solo.I'll let you know how that works out. You still pay $15. You can order 1 of each. I ate 4 times at Jiji's when I was on the Sunshine!
SugarStar00 Posted December 20, 2015 #25 Share Posted December 20, 2015 Loved it! I will say though to skip the shrimp dumpling for appetizer-they were terrible. Haha that's the only part of the meal I liked!! I really didn't care for ji-ji and would not go back. My meat was very fatty (shortribs) and everything had some sort of spice on it I simply didn't like. I actually left there hungry, but It seems I may be the one one.... Just my opinion
