wantocruisemore Posted October 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2015 For those of you with Verizon and rewards, they have RCCL gift cards in $100 and $500 for $90 and $450. 10% savings. You can use them for cruise, excursions or onboard account. They had Carnival too but those are sold out.

I just checked my Verizon rewards and the details state the gift cards are for new bookings and can not be used for excursions or gratuities.
Sianli Posted October 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2015 Do you know if the cards expire? Just made final payments on next few cruises but always going again!
wantocruisemore Posted October 21, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted October 21, 2015 If these restrict what you can use them for, that's different from carnival. Check details on uses to b sure.

Read the fine print. See below. This is from AARP not Verizon. These can only be used to book a new cruise. 9. This certificate is non-refundable and non-transferable. 10. Certificate cannot be applied to existing reservations and can only be used towards a new cruise booking. 11. This certificate cannot be applied to ship-board credit, excursions, or gratuities. minn0315 Posted October 21, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 21, 2015 Ditto on Terms and Conditions #11. I think these are worthless when you have already booked and paid for an upcoming cruise.
wantocruisemore Posted October 21, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted October 21, 2015 Then the very restricted use explains why they are not sold out. Too bad I'm not sure about my Alaskan cruise, or I would get them.
mom2tcdx2 Posted November 19, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 19, 2015 I had almost ordered one for my upcoming cruise as I have ordered a bunch of Carnival ones. The terms and conditions are awful. What possible good is it to offer a gift card that can only be used at the time of the original purchase. Too bad as it would have been a nice way to do a little at a time to pay off the upcoming cruise and use towards shipboard accounts. Royal should really rethink the terms of offering gift cards.
