suntan Posted October 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2015 We are not sailing until September 2016 on the Brilliance but we're starting to look into flights to/from Barcelona. I see that RCCL has 2 flight programs - Choice Air and Air2Sea. Am I correct in thinking that Choice Air is only for flights and doesn't provide transportation from the airport to the port and visa versa? Also, I heard that booking through RCCL we will not be able to choose the flight we want - we would only be able to pick the airline and the port of call and then closer to the departure date would we find out what our flight arrangements are and the price could be higher than if we went ahead and booked the flight ourselves months earlier. Is this correct? Any information you can provide on this will be greatly appreciated. This is our first time on RCCL (but not first time cruisers). Thank you.:)
Rare silentbob007 Posted October 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) I think that Choice Air has been renamed Air2Sea and that the two are the same thing. If you use it, you are given a choice of flights with corresponding costs ... you can pick the itinerary you want. You are correct that they do not include transfers unless perhaps if you are booking an entire package with RCI (including pre-cruise hotel, etc). searoses Posted October 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2015 Do some reading on the cruise air forum...10 min on there and I am going with a regular us carrier....too many unknowns if something goes wrong.....the tickets carry few options if your flight doesn't go or you are not on it... MCC retired Posted October 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Go to the RCI site click on your booking , click on Choice Air , put in your flight dates . You should see a bunch of choices available . You can do his even if you booked with a TA.
LisaAtlCruiser Posted October 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 25, 2015 For international flights - booking through RCCL will offer some good prices. Domestically I book my own flights - but international I go with RCCL...especially for one way or multi city.

They discontinued that several years ago. You do get transfers from hotel to port and then port to airport.
griffy116 Posted October 28, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Check all your options, even if it's international flights. I managed to book flights cheaper myself. I had to take a flight to another city to start from but even including that, I ended up with flights that were over $400 cheaper.
