SteelerCruiser Posted October 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Hello, We are looking for a calm Clearwater beach that we can go to on our upcoming visit in Cozumel. Their is going to be several ships in port the same time as we are so something that will be less crowded would be great. Not really looking for an alli inclusive either as we don't really drink and food doesn't really matter to us either. Thanks for suggestions in advance! JohninDC Posted October 25, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2015 The farther you go from the ports, the less crowded it will be. You can taxi to the other side of the island where there are a few beach bars and wonderful scenery (but the waves and currents make swimming dangerous:(). Nachi Cocom is an obvious choice - limited to 100 guests, quiet and uncrowded. AI for about $55 each - it is worth it for the peace and quiet even if you do not drink/eat much. maldenmusic Posted October 30, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2015 We like Palancar at the far southwest tip of the island. It has never been crowded probably because the taxi ride is $25 each way from Puerta Maya for 4 people. No entrance fee and they have a bar and restaurant which are reasonably priced. Rare crewsweeper Posted October 30, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2015 I would second Palancar. Or even Rasha's at the turn up to the east side, but that can get crowded too. Albert's just before the Iberostar Hotel is another option. And a little closer in, sometimes San Francisco Beach just before Paradise Beach, gets overlooked as does Playa Corona on the other side of Chankanaab (but it's relatively small).
