We are five pp with one 80 year old who want to do a little boat charter when we get off from Celebrity Reflection this month. What is the easiest to get to and anyone know which boat is better for elderly going into the water? Some charters say from Red Hook others say East End. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There are a number of smallish (carry 6 passengers) motor boats that charter out of Compass Point Marina, also on the east end of St Thomas. CrewZen is one of them. You might have to do some googling, as some of the small boats don't have the $$ for advertising.

Many smaller as well as larger operators are listed under St Thomas charters at the vinow site -

You can also find great recommendations in the TripAdvisor trip reports if you search by daysails or charters in the St Thomas forum, be sure to sort by date after the search.

I am curious which one you booked and how it went? We are booked with Good Day Charter next month

I have used Lazy Island Charters which docks at Saga Haven Marina and is only about a 10 minute ride from Havensight. Captain Jason was a friendly outgoing type and was concerned with safety as well fun. He showed us some great spots and overall was one of our better charters. His boat is a bit different in that it is a cruiser instead of a center console so there is shaded seating if needed.

Hope this helps.
