Photography in Medici tombs

I know that you are not allowed to take photos in the Uffizi and the Academia (the repeated flash will destroy the pigments in the paint).

 

Are you allowed to take photos in the Medici tombs? We were allowed to take pictures in St. Peter's....

My wife, my son and I took at least 1000 photos in both the Ufizi and Academia last month. The only restriction was no photographs in the special visiting exhibit of paintings featuring St. Francis in the Academia. No flash of course. Even if flash were allowed, all it would do is cause a light reflection on the object being photographed
