PBC29 Posted November 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2015 Haven't been to the island in a while an never docked at Havensight until this cruise in Feb. I was just wondering is the sidewalk from Havensight pier into town wheelchair friendly or will we encounter steps/ non sidewalk sections along the way? Is the sidewalk next to the water or the other side of the street?
Ms411 Posted November 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2015 Yes, wheelchair accessible and on same side of street.

O2B@Cagain Posted November 11, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2015 It is only one mile, but that is long for some, I expect. ;)
Lonedaddy Posted November 11, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2015 2.4KM /1.5 miles from senior frogs(havensight) to fr Christian on the east side of the main shopping areas near the flea market. It can be a long walk if the sun is beating down on the pavement. Depends on how much walking you plan to do downtown. Round trip plus shopping you could be looking at 5 miles. PBC29 Posted November 17, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Thanks all The distance isn't an issue but steps mid trip would be. I'm used to wheeling 5-6 miles per port stop an wheeled from Crownbay into town multiple times. (it was always a PITA) The temps have never really been bad as we always sail in late Jan early Feb, just grab a bottle of water an go.
