Need suggestions for shore day with 2 toddlers. Safe beach area near cruise terminal? Or should this day be better spent onboard at the kiddie pool?

You know your kids best and whether they'll need a break from ports, etc. Best beach to visit up north is Reduit Beach in Rodney Bay. Cab will be $30us one way, loungers and umbrellas available, shallow swinging waters near shore, Spinnakers beach bar and restaurant right there plus regular fast food like Subway and KFC nearby, a little shopping and grocery store in case you need anything else before heading back, etc... If you just want to walk to the beach and dip your toes a bit then go back in the ship, Vigie Beach is a great choice. 15-20 minute walk, or $10 cab ride one way, lots of local shade, shallow swimming waters, some local rum and food shacks near entrance to the airport, could easily spend a few hours then head back to the ship. The Castries Food and Craft market is right by the poet for colorful shopping, local fruits and vegetables, souvenirs, crafts, etc. Looshan love kids, so yours would get lots of smiles and such.

Enjoy your day.
