Change Cruise Date

My Mom is in the hospital and I will be cruising in a little over 2 weeks. Right now I am planning on going on the cruise and make my final decision the week of cruise. I do have insurance. What I am curious about is, I have found the same cruise for a month later. I am just wondering from anyone that has done this, how it would work if I decided to change cruise dates instead of cancel.

Thanks for any advice/tips that anyone can give me.

You could talk to Carnival and hope for they will be compassionate and let you change with no fee. Probably not though.

 

You will most likely have to cancel your current cruise and book the new one at the current price. That is the only way I see this happening.

From my experience they won't let you change the date, you will probably have to cancel and rebook the date you want. If you have insurance check your policy to make sure you are able to cancel and recoup your losses. Call Carnival to see what they say. Please let us know how you get on. Good luck.
