Shuttle from Radisson Port Canaveral question

Based on suggestion in thread I booked a Sunday night stay in the Radisson Port Canaveral Resort. They will let you park your car at their property. The rate was $139. It would have cost $40 to park at the pier so the room (w/o tax) is about $99.

I really dislike parking my own car at the piers so I thought this would be more convenient. But lurking in the back of my mind have been previous shuttle experiences. The worst for my husband is the stopping at various other properties to pick up and drop off passengers. So a trip that might otherwise take a few minutes drags on and on.

Is the shuttle from this property a quick, easy trip or a drag on and on trip? Also, are we expected to tip the driver?

Hi:) I haven't cruised from Port Canaveral in 2 years but I stayed at the

Radisson and left my car there when I did. You sign up for the shuttle when

you check in (How it was handled in the summer of 2003). No, there were

not any other stops. It was pick up and drop off. I do remember having to

wait a bit for him upon returning at the port. No big deal to me.

As for tipping, I really believe that is your own call.

Enjoy your cruise.

We stayed at the Radisson in 2003 also. We really enjoyed this hotel. you can see the ships in port.

We left our car in the designated spaces, the shuttle on the way to the port was no problem. After leaving the ship there is a wait, which itself is ok, however, the rude people pushing and cutting really wear on your nerves.

I believe we did tip, however, I don't think the driver handled our bags at all. Enjoy.

Hi Dovey

Call the Radisson 30 days before your cruise and ask to reserve (how many spots you need) on their shuttle to the port.

If you wait until you get there you may be on the second or third outing!!!

Most of the guests staying there are going to the port!

Parking is simple and secure enough. There is a large open grass area if they run out of spots in their parking lot.

It took less than 5 mins. from the hotel to the luggage area at the port.
