We will be returning to grand cayman in january for the first time since our original cruise on the song of norway in 1986...did a great snorkling excursion then, but wife wants a laid back day on beach. We want calm water for swimming , loungers and cold beer.....will be on the equinox..food not an issue....thanks!!:):):)

Hop on the bus, and head to Seagrape beach on 7 Mile beach...everything you want is right there!

+2. Any "beach" you go to is all on 7-mile beach, and it's all the same (unless you go the extreme end where it becomes rock).

Seagrape beach is as good as any other, there is no entrance fee and you have a place for food, drinks, toilet and beach chairs.

Yep, it's called Calico Jacks. Local beer and good food, it's just not cheap but then agian nothing on GC is cheap!

I second this :) Calico's is a great little beach bar on a fabulous stretch of beach. Not fancy, but the beer and drinks are cold!
