Great review! Your comment about "heading back to the bar where you belong" made me laugh out loud. Did the Vibe Pass end up costing $118pp?

Sheehan came to one of our Meet and Greets on the Epic, also. I thought it said volumes about him. If Del Rio was on your ship, I think he missed a great opportunity if you had such a large M&G.

Any chance you have the dailies? I am hoping to book my shows/specialty dinners today and would like to see what they have going on each night. Thanks!!

Did you by chance have any gelato at Dulce? If so was it good? Do you remember any of the flavored offered? Also did you see/go to the seafood buffet said to be offered one evening? What night was it? How was the food? Thank you for your review and have a safe trip home.

6&8

Hello sixes and eights, We didn't actually READ the Dailies, way too many words on one page for me. Too taxing on my C+ brain. Lol

Wait, there was a seafood night? I guess I missed that. They did have a Seafood Pie on the buffet one night but I didn't like that as it was a little too fishy.

I wanted to try the Gelato but it seemed like the few times I thought about it was closed. It probably told me all of this in the Dailies but we were too lazy to peruse it.

Hi DeBonde1,

I am officially Deblond2. I'm sitting at the airport and get a tap on my shoulder. "Ma'am, did you know your shirt is on inside out?" Lol, why yes it's the clean side. Ha ha just kidding. That's what I wanted to say, instead DH just laughed out loud and posted it on FB as I walked off to the rest room in shame.

Anyway, the Vibe was $99 pp. So no increase as of yet. And sorry no Dalies, if it's not bullet points I'm not reading it.

Enjoy your cruise!

Ok I'm at the airport getting ready to board for Phx, with change of planes in Atl. Now I'm not sure what is more disturbing, that last night the news warned of a possible terror attack at a WWE event in Atlanta or that they just said the plane is delayed due to really bad winds in the area. Yikes, last year we flew into JFK during the whole Ebola scare....anyway I digress.

If you are a football fan you will be much happier this trip, IF your game gets shown. On Sunday they showed 3 games an early, mid and late. On Thursday they showed the night game. Also they did have some college games on too,but I'm not sure what.

Last year on the GA I only remember one game and it was only shown at O'Sheehans. It was Pats V Colts and O'S was packed with loads of fans, and there was something with music going on in the Atrium. I remember being annoyed that it was only on at one location. We were VERY loud, so if you were at the Atrium I am sure they were annoyed too, because we were louder than them. Pats won last year too by the way! DH was so happy he took a pic of the TV that he was at sea and able to watch his team.

Well this year, Del Rio must have broke down and bought a package, because it was on all over the ship , including the room TV! It was advertised to be on in the District, so we went about 30 mins early and we couldn't even get into the venue it was that packed! We were standing against the wall so I told my hubby I would check O'S. Sure enough O'S was empty and the game was on, so we went over there. Once again there was something going on in the Atrium, but I wasn't as annoyed this time because I knew I could go elsewhere if I wanted too. It did end up getting packed with fans I there too though, and once again we out shouted the folks in the Atrium. Oh and once again the Pats won, so all was good!

It wasn't ideal but for sure a move in the right direction to have more American football.

Ok boarding the plane now. But first I have to digress again. If you have an assigned first class seat, why would you board first? Why not wait until everyone else boards then sit down? I just saw some one bump a first class passenger. Ok I'm off for now.

Because they want that 'free' extra cocktail they can have while they're sitting there waiting for everyone else to board?

Just a guess LOL

Did you go to the Supper Club?If so, did you like it? How about the food?

I'm an 80's kid so this Brat Pack thing is right up my alley. However, I'm pretty cheap (kinda, sorta) and don't really want to blow $70 or use one of our dining credits unless it's awesome! Especially since the menu is not very enticing.

Thanks! Have a safe flight!

Cruzinbabe, Since you have not been on either of the ships they are really so similar I wouldn't spend the extra money.

There are a couple of different restaurants on the Escape but really they are more similar than different.

Quite honestly if we didn't get such a great deal with the UBP we probably would have booked the Oasis. Gasp! Sorry NCL fans.

Thank you so much.

It's funny you mentioned about the Oasis.

We wanted to book the Allure for next December, total price around $2100 for balcony. With $300 OBC.

I saw NCL deal. Total about $2400 for balcony. Giving us the Beverage and Dining Package.

Our bar tab is always between $500 - $700. And we always reserve the Steakhouse on all our cruises. This was a no brainer, when I showed my husband.

Allure will have to wait.:)

I'm leaning toward the Escape.

Thanks so much for responding back.

I've been on the Allure and the Getaway, which is similar to the escape i am thinking. Allure has better entertainment by far, but thats not to say NCL's entertainment is BAD just there are more shows on Royal and better quality. Even now with the upcharges, NCL is a much better value. For Jan 16th, I am paying 749.00 pp for an inside with the pick 2 perk, which i chose Bev and Dine. RCI on Oasis for Jan 16th, 798.00pp for an inside, no perks.

So yeah, picked the Escape :D

We agree with your DH about the Beef Wellington, delicious. The food was the best I've had on a cruise.

We talked to Guy Harvey, a delightful man, & asked him to sign our Meet & Greet surprise from Terri.

The food at the supper club was good, the show & the rest of the entertainment was wonderful!

Great review... We sail out this sat 28th , my question is did you see any construction in the casino? There was talk about building a smoking area once Miami sailings started ... Thanks

No none, and to be honest they REALLY need it. The smoke is VERY BAD. I could smell it all the way down to 6 when we left the MDR. I haven't read any reviews yet, but any complaints of smoke smell from the Casino are NOT an exaggeration.

Sotermarler - thanks for your review! Hope you are having a safe flight home!

Quick question on Vibe - Are there areas where you can be in the shade or are all the chairs in the sun?

Thanks!

Thanks Cruzin!

There are umbrellas and some shadedImageUploadedByForums1448220717.703497.jpg.c9de7517c072bff1957a52e5b0fe98de.jpg

chairs. You will be fine.

There is a structure just to the left here that has musters If it's too hot.

Enjoy!

Hello Harp!

It was nice to meet you at the M&G! It's very cool you got to meet Guy Harvey! I didn't want to leave the Vibe to go down and meet him. It was smart of you to get him to sign the certificate!

Safe travels to you!

Thanks! Fingers crossed we're on early enough to get passes. :)

Just go early and you will be fine. On the GA we got there at 10:00 am got boarding #7 and got them. This cruise since it was the first 7 day I knew I had to arrive early so we got there for 9:30 boarding group 3 and were # 41 and 42. I think we would have missed out if we came much later. I think later cruises you won't have to be so early. Good Luck!!

Questions about Casino : How separate is the "Smoking area" from the rest of the casino? Is it really a separate room?

Are the slot game choices better than the GA? I am hoping for more newer games, like they have in Vegas, like The Hangover, Walking Dead, Wizard of Oz, Monopoly, etc

I have not been on this ship yet, but I viewed some recent videos on youtube from people that have returned. I saw a Fred Flintstone machine and it was next to Wizard of Oz. They looked like fun.

Yes Wizard of Oz and Flintstones, but no Walking Dead. I was looking for that too.

There is a lot of new ones, Quick Hit and tons of others I never heard of. Lots that have games up top of the machine.
