Staying a few days in Vancouver after cruise. What is best way to do Victoria Island for a day trip? Float plane seems best but cost is high. Ferry is reasonable but consumes so much time.

Would a combination work? Are the Gardens near Ferry Port in Victoria?

Also want to do High Tea at the Empress Hotel.

I have been to Victoria many times.

 

We have been to Butchart Gardens. It is about a 45 minute drive from the port. We normally take a tour to bet out there.

 

The town of Victoria is about a 15 minute from the port or you can take a shuttle over there. We have also enjoyed nice walks around the town and then you can go to the tea. Be sure to sign up for the tea from home using their web site.
