triptolemus Posted December 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2015 Does anyone else find this someone sad? Pathetic? Payments go missing... CruiseNext certs go missing... whole ships go missing... I just find it rather lame. The WebDev team needs to step up their game. The "Jewel" as pictured on NCL.com ( https://www.ncl.com/cruise-ship/jewel )... The actual Jewel...

SuiteCruiser Posted December 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) Really? I'd suggest you step away from the computer... I think it's pretty ridiculous that a cruise line doesn't have a real picture of their ship on their website. Look at the top two decks, they're totally different. Dawn has 5 decks of windows and balconies and Jewel has 6. Edited December 14, 2015 by SuiteCruiser
GoAndHaveFun Posted December 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2015 Haha, I have caught this for a while now and just kept wondering how is it NCL hasn't caught that yet.

Well, the problem is you are trying to look at the internet on a golf club. Problem solved.

Kingofwylietx Posted December 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted December 16, 2015 I'm sure it takes a while to get those aerial photos for their newer ships. I'm positive they will update the website once she's been in the fleet a while. :p
JohnIreland Posted December 16, 2015 #12 Share Posted December 16, 2015 The same epicure is on-board the Jewel outside the library.
GoAndHaveFun Posted December 16, 2015 #13 Share Posted December 16, 2015 I also remember before the NCL website makeover, they had an actual picture of the Jewel but then somehow put up Jewel hull art on a Dawn-class ship after the makeover. Perhaps the size of the ice cubes used onboard NCL ships is a problem for you as well? I don't get it? Why all of the snarky comments (not just you!) they should be able to post a picture of their ship, that should be a basic requirement and yet so many comments saying it's asking too much?? papcx Posted December 17, 2015 #17 Share Posted December 17, 2015 How do you think cruise lines post pics (or even videos) of new ships? Take a sister ship and put the new name on top! Don't see the problem myself?
cruisebie Posted December 17, 2015 #18 Share Posted December 17, 2015 How do you think cruise lines post pics (or even videos) of new ships? Take a sister ship and put the new name on top! Don't see the problem myself? The problem is that the Dawn & the Jewel are not sister ships. This could create a problem for anyone who is looking at the ship's exterior to determine room placement. People do that all the time to look for things such as hull balconies.
RiotAct Posted December 17, 2015 #19 Share Posted December 17, 2015 Pretty poor on NCL's part. I agree with the OP.
