Steakhouse Reservation Timeline

I have submitted requests for steakhouse dining reservations, but never hear back from Carnival as to whether they have been received and/ or confirmed. How long from submission does it usually take for you to hear something back regarding your steakhouse reservations?

When I have made steakhouse reservations, I always got an email reply within 2 days.

I want to say with Magic it took a week or two, the Dream only took a day or two. So I think it depends on what ship you are on honestly.

With the Breeze I heard back within 48 hours

Conquest got back to me same day for Steakhouse and Chef's Table

Maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using the steakhouse link that shows up with my cruise info and fill in all the information. I submitted one request two weeks ago and one two days ago.

 

Maybe they know I don't know my salad fork from my- well whatever the other fork is called and don't want me lowering the standards;-)

Im on the conquest in January and heard back the day after I made the reservation (also used the link under my cruise info like you stated), then I had to change it from 2 people to 3 people and heard back 2 days later

On the Sunshine it took a few days for the original request which I filled out on the Carnival site. I decided I wanted to change the time and heard back within 24 hours. I guess it just varies.

received our confirmation on the Magic within 1 day.

Steakhouse reservations finally confirmed!

 

Is there anything specific anyone would recommend ordering or not ordering?

I entered reservations for both the steakhouse and the Capitano on Magic this morning. I received confirmation for the steakhouse within an hour.

My confirmation for Capitano came back at 12 am this morning.

We usually hear back the same day. When we cruised on the Breeze, though, we never heard back even though the reservations had been made. I recommend double checking once you get on the ship.
