Diamond and Platinum boarding and FTTF

We boarded the Conquest on December 12th. They placed all the FTTF folks in 2 rows of seats, in the general waiting area. After Diamonds, Plats, we were invited to board. The port staff checked S&S cards to ensure folks had the FTTF sticker.

Thanks for that information Sharon as I've not cruised out of Port Everglades since FTTF has started and wondered how it was. Is there a separate room for Diamonds/Platinum guests or separate area in one large room ? I hope its better than my following Miami experience...

And MIAMI, THE WORSE BOARDING EVER... Yes, there was a separate area for the Diamonds/Platinums and suite passengers and a totally separate line for the FTTF passengers... BUTTTTTT when it came time for boarding, they escorted the Diamond/Platinum etc up one escalator and the FTTF passengers up the other one and we met in the middle right before proceeding onto the ship... And who does the lady pick to stop the Diamond/Platinum line but ME.... after all of my family with the exception of my Mom and myself had already gone ... I said to the lady who are those passengers to which she replied "those are the FTTF passengers" .. I told her we are suppose to board before they do and that my whole family has already gone and she replied "What difference does it make" and made us wait... YUP, MIAMI IS THE WORSE....

Good to know since I will be going out of NO this next cruise. Never had any issues with boarding in Galveston, although I am usually so excited to be there I am not really worried about who is getting in with me. I do know in Galveston they have a separate line you can go in and they were very much checking cards.

I had FTTF in NOLA a couple months ago, and it was very organized. Diamonds, Platinums and Suites were in a special room. FTTF's were seated in the general boarding area, but they had a couple rows of seats reserved for us and had employees really guarding it to make sure no non-FTTF's tried to sneak in.

Then when they started boarding it was definitely Diamonds, Platinums and Suites first, then FTTF's after. And it was all monitored very closely. The employees were strict and well organized, and everyone boarding seemed to "behave" very well, abiding by the rules and listening to the directions given.

yes. happens ALL the time in Miami. I don't mind the FTTF program, just wish they would follow the procedure. The only port I have seen them do it right is at port Canaveral. My last cruise out of Miami, they called diamond and platinum, but because FTTF guests were also in the lounge, they joined the line. Not only does carnival need to follow the policy better, but people need to listen and follow the procedure as well
