moki'smommy Posted December 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2015 Rain in the Caribbean is one of those things....it often rains for 10 minutes and the rest of the day is beautiful. I don't know that we've cruised in November, but we have in October and December. Love the fall--no oppressive humidity but warm days, cool evenings. floridalover5623 Posted December 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2015 We were there 3 times this past Nov & had a 10 minute shower twice. Nothing to worry about.
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2015 We've cruised in November. It's a nice time to cruise. Keith
blue_water Posted December 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Hotel and cruise prices are typically cheaper during the low season of June - Nov for a reason. It is the rainy/hurricane season, and the weather can be very humid and oppressive as well. So not the best time to cruise the Carib, as you may experience rougher seas and missed ports. So if you've done some research on the weather (or are an experienced traveler) this isn't news to you. Not to deter you or make you concerned, just to give you accurate info - Better to be prepared that surprised! And for many it's the one time of year they can get away. As others have said you may just see brief spurts of rain and winds with nice weather otherwise. However that is actually more typical of the weather you'll find in April - May and December - Jan, at least in our experiences. So we'd suggest purchasing travel insurance to protect you in the event of transportation or other blips. Cruise trip insurance is very affordable and gives you peace of mind so you can be excited about your upcoming cruise with no worries! We use it no matter what time of year we cruise or take land vacations. Edited December 28, 2015 by blue_water
