markperth Posted December 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2015 Hi all, Doing a Xmas cruise next year for the first time and was curious on how the ship accommodates all passengers at the same time with Xmas food. Not sure if lunch or dinner is the big Occassion but either way it seems to me that the MDR could not fit in all passengers a the same time. So does the specialty restaurants seat passengers win the same Xmas food as the MDR. Or is it just a normal type day on board exclet cor Santa running around? 😎😎 Cheers mark
hlsess Posted December 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2015 Just left the Epic. There was some turkey with sides at lunch buffet. Manhattan had ham and turkey along with sides. Book early. We did cirque show on Xmas night - specialty doesn't change menus for Xmas
rvsullivan Posted December 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2015 There is no big sit down dinner for all the guests. Dining is the same as it is every day. They do add turkey and dressing to the menu in the MDR's and no change in the specialty restaurants.

torybruno Posted December 30, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2015 We were just in the Jewel Christmas sailing. If you are planning on eating in the MDR on Christmas Eve or Day, make your reservation for these as soon as you board. They had both menus posted for that day on the first day. We ate in the Italian on Christmas Day. Christmas Eve show was great, our Christmas caroling in the atrium was at 8:15pm before the show at 9:15. hawkeyetlse Posted December 30, 2015 #9 Share Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) This was the Christmas Day dinner menu the other day on the Epic (Taste dining room). We did not have reservations and were able to walk in as a party of 4 after the early show. It says "Christmas Dinner Fleet 12/15" at the bottom, so I guess it was fleetwide. (We had almost exactly the same menu on the Jade last Christmas.) French Onion Soup | Gruyère Cheese Crouton Butternut Squash & Pumpkin Soup | Gingerbread Crumbs Red Beet Salad | Boston & Red Leaf Lettuce, Anjou Pear, Candied Walnuts, Champagne Vinaigrette Shrimp Caesar Salad Pink Grapefruit & Orange Salad | Toasted Coconut, Midori Vinaigrette Mushroom Ravioli | Basil Pesto, Pancetta, Snow Peas Smoked Norwegian Salmon Tartare Roasted Atlantic Salmon Baked Country Ham | Mashed Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, Grilled Pineapple, Maple Raisin Jus Roasted Maryland Turkey | Apricot & Apple Stuffing, Sweet Potato Mash, Green Beans, Giblet Gravy Sautéed Gnocchi | Roasted Chestnuts, Wilted Spinach, Fontina Cheese Sauce Beef Wellington | Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli, Burgundy Sauce Pear Frangipane Torte | Honey Vanilla Sauce Strawberry Napoleon (no sugar added) Fruit Cake | Sugar Glaze, Mixed Berry Compote Warm Chocolate Lava Cake Pumpkin Soufflé | Chocolate Sauce Chocolate & Lime Curd Yule Log | Citrus Syrup The Beef Wellington was very good. Here is a photo of the Yule Log. They also had enormous portions of Christmas pudding on the buffet at lunch and dinner. :) Edited December 30, 2015 by hawkeyetlse
