Adding second passenger to solo reservation

I will know the current answer soon enough. I booked a cruise a year ago for solo. Now a friend wants to join me so I just emailed my TA today to find out how it will work. The rate has gone up significantly since I booked! If RCCL will reprice at the current rate - my friend is going to have to get her own room :)

I just heard back from my TA and to add a second person the only additional charge is that person gratuities (I had prepaid mine), taxes and port charges.

 

So that is great news. They did not reprice my cruise! Which is great as the current price is $1000 more then when I booked.
