Hi!

 

I had my first cruise on The Eclipse a few weeks ago.

I am Platinum member at RCCLs Crown and Anchor, and was placed into Celebritys Select.

 

After the cruise i was awarded 70 point but need 230 Points to Reach Elite.

Does this mean that i have to start collect Points from the bottom and not start the Climb from Select ??

Its 230 more points to Elite.

 

Rather then starting from scratch, it would be easier to reach elite through RCCL Crown & Anchor since you are close to Diamond level.

Yes. You must accrue the points on either Celebrity or RCI. They are not combinable. Your reciprocity status was granted for the cruise only.

Yes, you have to "earn" the points for the next status on Celebrity only. Or as an earlier poster said, if you get to the next level on RCCL, then you will be at the next level on Celebrity.

But is only goes to the Elite and Diamond levels for reciprocity. To get Elite plus status or Diamond plus status you have to earn those levels respectively by sailing Celebrity or Royal Caribbean.

 

We are real close on Royal to Diamond Plus and kinda close on Celebrity, thus we are tending towards Royal right now to see how we will enjoy Diamond Plus.

 

At least for us, we prefer Diamond benefits over Elite benefits.
