evandbob Posted January 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2016 I just came back from the supermarket and two of the totes I used were from cruise lines, namely Celebrity and Princess. I had a few questions about cruising while I was in the cashier's line packing up my food stuff and thought what great advertising this is for the companies. I don't think I received these as a special promotion or perk, I've only sailed Celebrity and Princess twice each. I think they were just placed in every cabin as a beach or excursion aid. After cruising, I brought them home and "re-purposed" them for grocery shopping. My question(s) then are: Would this be an acceptable Platinum or Diamond perk gift? or, Can Carnival put similar totes in every cabin?
SadieN Posted January 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2016 Carnival's Platinum/Diamond gift 'retails' about $15-20. I could see them selling those in the gift shop. Princess gives them to everyone, suites getting a different one. Our old HAL bags shrunk to Barbie size after being washed.
45014 Posted January 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2016 You can buy decorative shopping totes in any Dollar store or grocery store for $1.00 and sometimes even less. I don't think anyone would really want these totes as incentives for frequent cruisers.
