ft. lauderdale hotels

Looking at Embassy Suites 17th St., and Residence Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port. Seen a lot of reviews on Embassy Suites. Anyone familiar with the Residence Inn? Want a hotel that includes breakfast, and fairly close to port.

If you plan to spend anytime in Fort Lauderdale and that would include arriving early afternoon the day before your cruise I would go with the Embassy Suites which is right near shopping and dining. They do a nice job and include a buffet breakfast.

 

It's really just a short cab ride to the airport.

 

Yes, there is a Residence Inn and three other Marriott Properties all together at the airport.

I haven to stayed at that property but have stayed at other Residence Inn. Again, with some time in Fort Lauderdale my choice would be Embassy Suites out of the two you mentioned with the location being nice for Embassy. The breakfast at Embassy offers many more choices too.

Embassy Suites. Have stayed there twice and will be going back in a couple of months again. No complaints.

Embassy Suites is good and the Holiday Inn Express is right down the road on 17th St. We like both.
