Thejuggler Posted January 9, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2016 We've had stays in both on site hotels, Hilton and Sofitel. Both excellent. We've also stayed at a Premier Inn which offered parking.

Somerset Cruiser Posted January 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2016 If you fly from the North Terminal, which P&O charters normally do, the Premier Inn is very a convenient walk to check in. By booking the hotel and long stay parking separately we are paying about £100 in February. I suspect cheaper packages are available, but a 10 minute transfer from car park to hotel and the aforementioned walk makes it all relatively easy. Lovetoboogie Posted January 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2016 We always stay at Trumbles at Charlwood, have done for years. It is absolutely lovely and your car is parked behind their hotel in a very secure area. There's a really nice restaurant within walking distance. David, the owner, either takes you to the airport or orders a taxi if its very early in the morning. He will then pick you up at airport on return and your car is there waiting for you. Look at their website - we always try to get Room 1 - its charming. You can sit on the loo seat and watch the planes taking off!
groovechick Posted January 12, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2016 This Christmas we used APH, flying from Gatwick South Terminal with Thomas Cook. We only used the parking, but they also do hotel and parking packages and "meet and greet". Very easy to book online, we got a discount through our car insurance and absolutely everything ran like clockwork. Very easy to find the car park, lovely friendly, helpful smiley staff (even at 4.30 on a cold, wet morning), bus transfer to terminal every 10-15 minutes and there is usually a bus waiting at their car park, so no standing in the cold, help with luggage on and off bus. When we returned car was parked about 10 yards from Reception ready for us and exactly as it we had left it, CD in player, no change of radio station and mileage just enough to account for having moved the car back and forth for parking. Would use again without hesitation.
insanemagnet Posted January 12, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Premier Inn at the North terminal does a 'sleep and park' package that can be reasonable, and the parking is in the official long stay car park so you keep your keys.
Dorset Cruiser Posted January 17, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2016 We always stay at Sofitel in North Terminal a d we use the Gatwick Valet parking. Usually pay fir hotel with Avios points. The car park is a little dearer than the off airport ones but it is so convenient, just over the riad from the terminal Arrivals entrance Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
