Is it true that i can buy from RCI $US at a better rate from RCI than i can from my bank in Australia. If so i guess i get in touch with RCI but where does the cash go, straight into my on board credit, anyone know the procedure

Thanks in advance

While not as good as it was last year buying OBC through Royal is still a few vpcents cheaper than the bank rate. I know in Canada we call gifts and gear or C&A to make the purchase. I would check the Australian website for one of those numbers but local to you. Make sure you know what the bank is charging and then ask what Royal is charging just to make sure it is a bit cheaper.

I'm also not sure about the case with Australians, but lots of reports on the "Canadian cruisers!!" thread that the great rate for Canadians buying US dollars ended last week :(.

Reports are that for on board credit gifts and gear is now charging C$1.40 per US dollar. Up until last week, they charged C$1.10 per US dollar.
