Andy,

Thank you so much for doing this! I have been thoroughly enjoying the pictures.

I am anxiously awaiting pictures of cabin furniture (especially in the Club Continent Suites). There was such a kerfluffle about sofas and chairs that it will be refreshing to see something factual rather than dealing with wild speculation.

Thank you for your very kind comments Bob. Hopefully, we'll be getting some glimpses of cabin furniture photos, but I suspect that will come at the very end of the project. Agree that it will be nice to see actual photos, and end the speculation.

I'm totally liking what I'm seeing so far, and my confidence in Azamara, and Journey's refurbishment is very high.

I'm happy to see this covered. I don't know if it was lighting, but it looked like the new carpeting in the casino was already soiled or wet...something.

Thanks again for posting for people not on FB so they can see the progress.

Looks good, doesn't it Andy? I think out if all the areas of the ship it's The Patio I'm most looking forward to seeing. The ceiling around the covered areas of the pool deck looks so much better.

Just wanted to add to the list of Azamara fans full of appreciation for the generous contribution of Host Andy in providing us with this wonderful thread. I have been following Host Andy for many years, and although I'm not a frequent poster, I have been able to observe, admire and respect not only his passion for cruises, in particular Azamara, but also for the professional tone he brings to a medium which can often be acrimonious. He brings an air of knowledge, experience, kindness, positivity and conviviality to all of the forums he contributes to, which adds to the excitement of all of us looking forward to our next cruise, which is half the fun now, isn't it? I hope to meet him personally in the near future, as we are frequent Azamara cruisers, including the upcoming February 29 Journey sailing. Here's to you, Host Andy!

Hi Hoosier Cruizer,

Wow, what a wonderful and inspiring post. My sincere thanks for your incredible comments. What drives me, is my passion for Cruising, and more importantly... helping our community members. That's my true pleasure.

Amazingly, my passion for Cruising and helping others, only seems to grow over time, especially after being here for well over 20 years. I lost track of the exact amount of time, but I think it's about 25 years now. My Cruise Critic life, started long before we had the online message boards. Many folks may not be aware of this.... but, some of the most senior Hosts, Hosted daily "Live Chat" rooms on America Online. Each host was assigned 1 night of the week, each with a different Cruise topic. My night was Mondays, when I hosted a show called "The Cruise Experience". Back then, Cruising wasn't anywhere near as popular as it is now - but I always knew it would eventually grow to be the best vacation choice. My running joke about this experience of a lifetime : I was involved in Social Media, long before the words Social Media existed ! :)

We do not have another Azamara Cruise booked yet, but I sincerely hope we'll meet on a future Azamara sailing. I have my eyes on the December 1, 2016 - 18 nights on Quest, sailing from Miami. That's my dream itinerary !

Thanks again for your very kind comments ! I'm saving this one :)
