big bro Posted January 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2016 Hi, Was wondering if the NCL Escape or Getaway have an indoor Promenade or Mall similar to the one on RC Independence or Liberty of the Seas?? Thank you, Matt
Loonbeam Posted January 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2016 They have a central corridor but not quite the same on RCCL - its more traditional and divided by levels instead of the high center core on the RCCL design. Is it a concern for transiting the ship indoors, shopping or something else?

MeHeartCruising Posted January 13, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Not a concern, just liked the "mall" type feel of the Promenade with the shops and bars. Great place to people watch! You'll find the same feel on these ships. It just isn't one 3 or 4 story open space. On the Getaway it is 3 decks branded as "678 Ocean Place". You can walk down the central corridor of each deck and you will be passing by the restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, 2 level atrium, shoppes, etc. It is definitely the hub of evening activity for the ship. Deck 8 also has an exterior promenade on both sides where you can also walk. This time, you have the ocean on one side of you and exterior seating areas for the restaurants and a few bars. It's a nice feel overall. I loved it. Plenty of people watching all around. I haven't been on the Escape, but it is similarly laid out. Loonbeam Posted January 13, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2016 The -away classes aren't as open as the Promenade is for that, but the atrium makes a good spot for that (assuming a loud activity is not going on there) Not a concern, just liked the "mall" type feel of the Promenade with the shops and bars. Great place to people watch!
