Tortola Dock?

Where do the ships dock in Tortola? Road Town? Tender? Somewhere else?Trying to figure out if it's worth doing an excursion when we are in on the Gem. Based on where it docks will help with this.

Is there anything near the pier or do we need to do an excursion?

The pier is under construction, with a few shops available. We were going to do an excursion, but being off the ship at 7am would have made my daughters miserable. At the end of the pier is a dispatch station for taxis -- we got an enclosed taxi to take us to Brewer's Bay beach, which was just gorgeous. We spent the morning snorkeling and sunning, and the taxi returned for us at our agreed-upon time. You pay them for your round trip when they return to get you. The system worked very well, and it was very relaxing.

My wife and I want to go to the Pusser's Bar which isn't too far from the dock. We went there on the first cruise we took together.
