Anyone have any updated information on these vouchers ? I've searched past posts from 2012-13. Nothing Recent Through.. I've Gotten 2 offers in the past 2 months, But it says I have to stay at Harrahs 2 Nights comped prior to being able to get the certificate ? Does anyone have an unused voucher they can post so I can see the fine print before investing the extra time to travel overnight for 2 nights to get it ? Any other info on this subject would be great ! Thanks and have a great day.:D

It's not so much your time invested but you are expected to stay at Harrah and play during your 2 nights stay - win or loss, regardless. Depending on your rated play level, the offers are typically, inside staterooms for 2, up to X number of nights (ususally on select sailings & holidays usually excluded), etc.

See here -http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2294000

If you have to invest time, money & travel (fly & drive, etc.) in exchange for the voucher, calculate your net costs and whether it's worth it or not ... you might be better off booking a cruise directly with the line.

Good luck & happy cruising !!

I have used the total rewards vouchers. Most recently from the Horseshoe in Baltimore. They do not have a hotel so there was no caveat of staying 2 days. However they obviously expect you to play and not just pick up the certificate and then leave. Prior to that certificate I used to receive them from the total rewards places on Atlantic city. Of which I don't remember if there was a specific clause that mentioned that I had to stay 2 nights, but if I was going to Atlantic city I would have already been staying over the weekend anyway. I would not pick up and use a certificate if I did not play that day or weekend. Also something else to consider when making your decision of it is worth traveling to get the certificate is, be aware that while the cruise itself is free you still pay port taxes and NCFs as well as any 18% gratuity for any promos available at the time.

I used a "Free" cruise certificate for our Jewel trip in February. The cert was for an inside cabin. We upgraded to a balcony. Currently the balcony cabin is $949/pp. We paid $185 guest fare plus $320 to upgrade (per person). So we saved about $900.

We are new to cruising and this was a good way to get my DH to agree on another cruise!

CET gave me a few of those last year. I used one for a Europe 7 day cruise (inside cabin) and the other Europe wasn't an option but I booked a Tampa-Tampa 7 day inside. I'm a diamond player, Seven stars I believe will get suites I believe. For me they're valuable as I travel solo so the taxes and fees are low comparing to paying for a cruise solo. Also as a previous poster mentioned you can always pay for upgrades for a better room.

I have received many of those over the years from Caesars properties. Most for NCL but recently for another cruise line as well.

You've got my interest up with your post. We've been diamond members for years, and received this type of offer often. On occasion, our casino host knew we couldn't make it for the offer. She just saved the certificate for us, for the next time we came in. We've been on so many NCL cruises now we don't use them anymore. We get our cruises directly through Casino's @ Sea. So, Caesars certificates are useless.

What got my interest was the fact that the same holding company owns Caesars and part of NCL. That's why they give the cruise certificates. They can either give you a comped room on land or a cabin on the sea. It's same, same for them. Either way you're playing in their casino. What other line did you get a certificate for? Was it Oceania or Regent?

We received one this year, first time. we did not have to stay overnight to get it . We are only platinum and were offered an inside so we upgraded to a balcony for $320 total. I was surprised at all the choices for cruises that you had. The promo that came in the mail said only for a 3-4 day cruise but when I went to pick up the certificate they give you a book with all the choices. Holidays were blacked out of course. So we opted for a 7 day out of Tampa. With all the fees and gratuities for Drink package and specialty dining (they were offering 2 free choices when we booked) the cruise for us was about 60% off. So to me it was a good deal but definitely not free by any means. :)
