Swedish Desserts?

Hi all,

Tried doing a search for this but came up blank. I'm into sweet desserts/pastries (except custard based desserts). Can anyone recommend "Swedish" desserts to try?

Well it depends on if you are planning to make it yourself or try to find a restaurant that serves it.

 

Some suggestions:

 

Vanilla ice cream with warm cloudberry jam (Hjortronsylt).

Spettekaka

Semla

Ostkaka (Swedish cheesecake, not the same as American cheesecake).

Strawberry cake is very popular in the summer in Sweden, but I don't think it's a typical Swedish thing.
