St John vs St Thomas

Depends on each person. Some folks have never spent a minute on the East End of STT and head directly to STJ and will recommend you do the same. Others have done both and like both for different reasons.

On a cruise stop we would head for a beach on the East End (Sapphire or Lindqvist) to have another 1.5 - 2 hrs to relax at the beach and have time to hit Paradise Point or another spot on the way back. Sapphire is actually quite gorgeous, and Lindqvist is even nicer but not as many amenities as Sapphire...

Is the extra time and expense to travel to St John worth it for their beaches compared to St Thomas beaches?

I think it's worth traveling to St. John's. We went to Coki beach last week and with 8 ships in port, it was soooooo crowded! St. John's is a lot less crowded and worth the money to get a nice beach that's not crowded.

Hi. I have been to Trunk Bay twice and it is absolutely worth the trip. Paradise.

This cruise I would like to try a beach on St Thomas (a cost saving measure). Can you please tell me if the sand is as fine at Sapphire beach as it is at Trunk Bay. How about Magen's Bay?
