Scuba in St. Thomas or St Martin

My SO did a novice scuba dive a number of years ago in St. Thomas we are returning to that area in April and she would like to try again. I have posted on the ports forum with no luck yet. She is a novice still so could not go on a regular dive boat, something much simplier.

Go to one of your local dive shops, lots of them set up dive trips, they will have contacts in the Islands. A few years ago I was in Curacao, not on cruise, my local dive shop gave me an excellent recommendation. I emailed Curacao dive shop prior to arriving and set up some diving excursions.

Last March 2015 on a whim we did the intro to scuba through celebrity in st Thomas and it was excellent.

 

The outfit that celebrity partnered with was really organized.

Us newbies did not have any certifications so they gave us the crash course.

 

After confirming that you can do a few crucial things. They then took us 4 at a time for our 1 tank dive at about 40ft deep.

 

After our 1 tank dive was up. We could snorkel around the dive boat while they took the others.
