crusinpsychRN Posted January 23, 2016 #29 Share Posted January 23, 2016 What a mess. Missed flights, freezing cold return. Mess of people still waiting to board. What'd they do for lunch? I never cruise in January or February and March is iffy in Florida.
RAYMORRA Posted January 23, 2016 Author #30 Share Posted January 23, 2016 We won't make our flight home but southwest changed for us for no charge. Can't control the weather! Someone will say it's Carnival's fault though...people like to complain!
gatorbill62 Posted January 23, 2016 #31 Share Posted January 23, 2016 you mean like this Jim? Bill YIKES!! I guess I should quit griping about the pine cones that are cluttering my back yard in St Petersburg.
Tutontow Posted January 23, 2016 #32 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Just took a look at the Tampa Web Cam, and "Paradise" is still at the cargo pier. Wind here, about 40 miles East of Tampa is REALLY gusting. I can certainly understand why they don't want to put the ship in peril by putting her in that narrow channel to get to the regular pier. ;) "SKY" I live 15 minutes from Tampa. Just this morning my wife looked outside and jokingly said "I thought hurricane season is over". My yard furniture was blown all over the place. Our gardening bench is is the pond and the cover on my outdoor fireplace is never to be found. Tampa is a tricky port during December and January. griz400 Posted January 23, 2016 #33 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Seems all ports are somewhat affected by the winds in Florida , here is port Canaveral, off this website, you can see all the ports ...... look at the new jersey wildlife cam ...... http://portcanaveralwebcam.com/
Erica@cruisecritic Posted January 23, 2016 #34 Share Posted January 23, 2016 In case anyone needs to know, the next cruise will have reversed ports due to the delayed embarkation (says Carnival PR): Instead of calling in Grand Cayman on Monday and Cozumel on Tuesday, the ship will call in Cozumel on Monday and Grand Cayman on Tuesday.
