Just booked this stateroom.I now see that it is directly across from the lift. Do you think it will be noisy or not good for any other reason?

You may hear talking from those exiting the elevators. If you listen very closely you might find you hear some pretty funny stuff. Like: "Can you believe that woman would wear THAT short dress? It barely covered her..."

Would suggest you would get lots of information by going to the M class cabin sticky above on the main page. The M class ships all have similar layouts and you can see several reviews on similar cabins.

 

The 7th deck is generally very quiet as it is cabins only. Noise is going to be from people coming and going to the theater. There are cabins above and below you and no service areas. The forward stairway has little traffic except when the theater lets out or if there is a show on 11. Had a cabin on 8 two more cabins back and it was quiet. The main thing I might be concerned about is if your neighbors in 7043 are noisy as there is a connecting door and thus not as well insulated for sound.
