Please settle this; Cabanas for 1 or 2???

We have a group cruising together and we all booked Cabanas on Princess Cays. I just read that you should only book the Cabana for 1 Adult and if you book it for 2, you will receive 2 cabanas. It would certainly free some up, if we only needed to reserve 1 instead of 2.

thank you

Patty

Do those of you who reserved a cabana think it was a good decision or do you think you could have been fine with some shade from a tree? We definately want some shade and are worried there might not be any left when we get there...so maybe reserving a cabana is the way to go...does it get very hot sitting inside the cabanas?

We reserved a cabana. The good points were we had a space in the shade and the area is very near the food and drink area. The bad points were the stairway (up and down) bridge to the side of the island where the cabanas are located (you cannot get there if you use a wheelchair), there is no breeze once you are inside your cabana, and the snorkeling is not very good on the cabana side of the beach. If I was going there again I would not reserve a cabana.

I would not reserve one again. In addition to all of the above reasons, we had difficulty getting one. My best guess is b/c we didn't get over there untill 10:30. I would go earlier and find some shade. That looked so much more comfortable to me. Savve the money and have a drink on the beach.
