2011mom Posted February 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2016 I will be cruising next month with my 20 year old daughter. Has anyone's kids made any friends with #LIV1820? I'd like to hear from anyone who knows about it! Thanks!
E&B Posted February 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Would love this info too. We're traveling with our 18 year old, but he's quiet. I have a feeling he may just decide to hang out with his 21 year old sister and her boyfriend.
Cant_Wait1996 Posted February 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2016 I haven't heard of this and would love some info as well. My daughter is 18 and too old for the 15-17 club and too young for the nightclubs. Her sister is 16 I wish they had a club that they could go to together but I'm sure they will have a blast anyways! RaiderFaninNM Posted February 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2016 We are off the Journey Dream cruise 1/14 and never heard of it, nothing was mentioned about it nor did I see anything printed in the funtimes, so the jury is still out..... Out of Iowa Posted February 4, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 4, 2016 I'm delighted to hear Carnival is doing this, an initial effort to get the 18-20s started at meeting each other; otherwise, it is awkward when they can no longer attend Club O2 and are too young for the dance club. BigB0882 Posted February 4, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Is this an official event, hosted by Carnival or is it like some of their other events that are non-hosted. Those usually have no turnout and if anyone does show up they quickly leave because no one is there to organize or start the event off. It is just awkward. I wish they would just let the 18 year olds in the club and not serve them alcohol. Is that allowed or is the club 21 and up only?
2011mom Posted February 4, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Thanks for the replies! It seems most people don't know about this - I think it would be better if Carnival had a letter for every cabin that had an 18 - 20 year old in it. But I'll check it out on my cruise next month! When me and my friend were 20 we went on our first cruise and went in the club. They don't check IDs or anything. But when/if we tried to buy liquor it was flagged on the card that we couldn't. That was almost 10 years ago but I can't see it being any different since there still isn't any hints for ages on the actual card and it would only be swiped when a purchase is made

BeckinTx Posted February 5, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 5, 2016 I was on a Thanksgiving cruise with my 18 yr old son. They had an invite in the Fun Times first night for this age group to meet in a particular club at a particular time that night. My son went and there was one other guy there. They just kind of hung out for a minute or 2 and no one else came so they left. There is not a Carnival host, just a time and place set aside.
