Twickenham Posted February 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Ah, now we're getting somewhere. Forget Termini - take a Regionale train to Ostiense (which will be cheaper than the Leonardo Express to Termini), and then either a bus (I think the 75 would be closest to your hotel) or the Metro to Colosseo. Of course, both options involve walking with your luggage, but being the smart world traveller that you are ;) I'm sure you are only bringing what you can easily handle yourself. euro cruiser Posted February 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) The absolute least expensive route, other than hitchhiking (which no one is recommending), would be one of the buses from the airport to Termini (€4) followed by a slightly less than a mile walk down Via Cavour (downhill all the way). You could avoid the walking by taking one of several buses that travel down Via Cavour from Termini but that would add an additional €1,50 to your total cost. For comparison, the local train to Ositiense followed by a bus or the metro would total €9,50. Edited February 12, 2016 by euro cruiser
bottomfeeder Posted February 13, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I'm booked at that hotel in April, and I emailed them to ask about stairs between the Colosseo subway stop (the closest) and the hotel. They said there are no stairs except from the subway to the street. Just in case that helps!
