Should I bring Travel Insurance policy with me?

Getting documents ready for our cruise next month and wonder should I bring our Travel Insurance documents with us?

These types of questions just fascinate me. If you need them on your trip, what were you planning on doing if they are sitting at home?

For many years I only brought the confirmation card that the insurance gives you. A cruise line (I can't recall, maybe Cunard or P&O) has recently advised that the hospitals in some countries may not accept just the card - they want to see the policy to know precisely what is covered. If one is in pain or barely conscious (or worse) I wouldn't want to be arguing that they should phone the collect number to find out. So we now bring the policy which is a booklet that doesn't weight much.
