Wow! It's like watching grass grow or paint dry!

 

Did you know that Meyer-Werft is a privately held family business, around since 1795? Members of the Meyer family are still in charge. Obviously, not those from the start of it! ;)

I believe they now own the shipyard in Turku where Voyager, Freedom, and the first two Oasis class ships were built.

That's why I wrote "if anybody is interested" :D

 

I've been to Meyer Werft 2014, right before the undocking of Quantum otS. It was really very interesting to hear a little bit about their long and successful history. We really enjoyed it!
