medicalma'am Posted February 27, 2016 Author #51 Share Posted February 27, 2016 Now the Ma'ametees are being wowed at this point. Luxury at our fingertips! There is a steam room [/img] Then there is a dry sauna room. This was quite large with two rows of seats. The side wall was all windows which I love. This is like on the Pearl (windows). [/img] These have different temperature settings. The tropical was nice.
medicalma'am Posted February 27, 2016 Author #52 Share Posted February 27, 2016 Now we are still in the Female side. There is a large hot tub. [/img] Then there is a relaxation area that looks out the front to the ship. This view is the same as off our front balcony. [/img]
medicalma'am Posted February 27, 2016 Author #53 Share Posted February 27, 2016 Then we move into the coed area. There is a warm pool with loungers in it that bubbles like the hot tub. [/img] Over near the men's changing room is a counter with hot water with which to make tea, several choices of teas, cold water, etc. [/img] Okay, I gotta head to work for a bit. Be back later today!

medicalma'am Posted February 27, 2016 Author #57 Share Posted February 27, 2016 We not only had the spa package, but since I had gotten the Owner's Suite this meant that we had Haven access. We went to check out the Haven. We had to use our cards in the elevator or an access door to get in. We used the mid ship elevators or went to the area outside of the Star Bar and used the stairs. It was cool outside so they had the top closed. [/img] The pool was never very busy during the week. [/img] There were plenty of chaises and double chaises and round half covered chairs. medicalma'am Posted February 27, 2016 Author #58 Share Posted February 27, 2016 While we were on the Haven sundeck I noticed that realized that we were moving. Sailaway! And we didn't even have a drink in our hands! We went to the pool bar and got a drink. We went back to the suite and started to unpack and enjoy sailaway from our decks. Soon it was time to head back to the Spa for the raffle. We got to the Spa and were told the raffle was in the exercise room of the gym. It was quite crowded. I don't miss this because the chances of winning something is really good, considering how many people show up. They kept calling the tenth floor again and again! Well, I was a winner! We went back to the cabin and finished unpacking and relaxed. I had brought three different colored highlighters and passed them out. This way we could each highlight on the daily what we wanted to do. We got ready for dinner, which was in Cagney's tonight. It was a late dinner and we went back to the suite and turned in early. It was smooth sailing and we were just rocked to sleep.
medicalma'am Posted February 28, 2016 Author #59 Share Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) I waked up about 6:30 Sunday morning and headed for that espresso machine! I sneeked out onto the side balcony so I wouldn't wake the Ma'amettes. I got online for a bit, read and soon they were awake also. My daughter, Natalie, had a massage at 9:00 so Samantha and I tagged along and enjoyed the Thermal Suite. At 10:00, I headed back to get ready for the Meet & Greet. I left before the others and arrived just before 11:00 in Le Bistro. We had about 45 in attendance and many officers there. We found out that there were 250 children, and the average age was 45. The ship was at full capacity with about 2600 passengers on aboard. [/img] We went in search of drinks and headed back to the Suite. We had talked about going to the wine tasting but decided not to. There would be others later in the week on our other two sea days we decided. [/img] Edited February 28, 2016 by medicalma'am

medicalma'am Posted February 28, 2016 Author #64 Share Posted February 28, 2016 If it is Monday, that means Cozumel. We were due to arrive at about noon. We had time to go to the Spa that morning. My Daughter in law had her massage and my daughter and I enjoyed the Thermal suite. Spa Virgin no more! This was Mr. Sanchos day. We grabbed a small breakfast in the buffet and got ready to get off the ship. We went to the upper pool deck and waited for the announcement that we could get off the ship. We were docked next to the Disney Fantasy. They had the coolest slide It is a long walk to shore.

medicalma'am Posted February 28, 2016 Author #66 Share Posted February 28, 2016 We waited patiently for them to announce we could get off. We amused ourselves. It was a nice weather day As we got to the end of the pier, we had to go through the line for "people with bags" where they had a drug sniffing dog. Remember this for later. We went up the escalator, across the street and went looking for a bathroom. We also found a shop that sells vanilla as Planma'am wanted me to bring back two liters for her. We soon went down the stairs and found a taxi to take us to Mr. Sanchos and we were on our way
medicalma'am Posted February 28, 2016 Author #67 Share Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) It was about a 15 minute drive there. It was $17 for the taxi. We were guided into an archway where there was a table set up. I had made reservations and made a small deposit online. We paid, got our wristbands and were taken in. They showed us the restrooms, pools and we choose to 'park' ourselves at the beach area. Teo, our waiter for the day, brought over three chaises for us at our table. These are the only floats they had in the water The beach was steep and the water got deep quickly Now Mr. Teo had worked so hard to bring those chaises to our table that I wanted to reward him. We ordered our first drinks and he brought them. I handed him a tip and he waved his hand at me 'no'. He said let me explain this to you as he squatted down in front of me. "You must let me earn my tip. At the end of the day, if you think I deserve a tip, then I will take one. But you must let me earn it". I said Okay and put my $ away. We arranged ourselves comfortably and sunned, read, and just enjoyed the atmosphere. I am here to relax and the Ma'amettes had the same idea. barnacle_boy Posted February 28, 2016 #70 Share Posted February 28, 2016 There was construction going on all week below the stack. There were big crates on pallets - no idea what was in them. Scrubber installation.
medicalma'am Posted February 28, 2016 Author #71 Share Posted February 28, 2016 Now I was feeling pretty good from all that RELAXING I had done during the day. One of the Ma'amettes took this of me in the elevator. [/img] And we were having fun Soon we went back to the Suite and we were saying goodbye to Cozumel We had reservations for La Cucina at 9:00 so we knew we had time to go to the Spa. I have a ritual in the ship Spa when I have a pass, which I always do. I go in my suit and swim shoes and a cover up. I stow the coverup and my book and glasses etc in the locker. I grab my towel and robe and get into the steam sauna. After about 4 minutes in there I go to the dry sauna. I stay there for about 4 minutes then get a cool drink of water. They always had cucumbers and lime wedges in ice cold water on the counter in the ladies area. Then I would get into the hot tub. After a relaxing 10 minutes or so I head to the coed area and enjoy the bubble lounger pool. Here I spend the most time. When I see a heated tile lounge free, I go there. I put my robe on, get my book and a cup of tea and relax, read, or watch the view.

This is in the steam sauna [/img] Enjoying this The restaurant is at the aft elevators at the back of the buffet. My daughter in law loved the atmosphere here. medicalma'am Posted February 28, 2016 Author #73 Share Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) I shared my wine with the Ma'amettes and still took some back to the suite with me in that bottle. They say that I was weaving down the hallway a bit more than the movement of the ship could account for. THEY say that I kept asking "Are you going to finish that wine?" Well, they are not wine drinkers. Well, Natalie is but it is always a sweet white. They both did comment that they didn't hate the it (I don't remember whether it was the merlot or the cab). I was very surprised that they liked it, but still didn't want it to go to waste if they didn't. Now my motive in asking them it they were going to finish the their glasses was that I wouldn't pour more for myself if they didn't want the rest of theirs. But they told the story differently later in the week! I have never been impressed with a meal in La Cucina until tonight. I had the Bucca something only because I have read people raving about it here on CC. I am so glad I did! It was served with a cheese polenta (that I make at home and love) and grilled veges. Fabulous!!! The Ma'amettes loved what they had also. It was late and not crowded There is not a picture, but there was an interesting couple at the table next to us. They were crew members and we couldn't help but hear their conversation. Evidently they were both close to completing their contracts and were 'negotiating' living together. They talked about financial expectations, sharing an apartment, bills, and their families. They were both very attractive and sounded educated. She was wearing her uniform but he was not. I believe that they both had crew IDs. We couldn't help but listen. We made it back to the suite, me with my bottle in hand. Another word in my defense - the Ma'amettes had the UBP and I has the Soda Package. I bought my wine (just under $20 a bottle in my hometown) and paid the corkage fee upon boarding. It cost me dearly and I love it, but it is totally worth it to me. I had brought along my vacuum corks and vacuum pump just so I could keep it fresh and not let it go to waste. To waste it did not go! We were very tired from a wonderful day in Cozumel and were all quickly fast asleep with dreams of Sharks and Rays in our heads! medicalma'am Posted February 28, 2016 Author #74 Share Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) We were to arrived in Belize at 9:00 a.m. We waked early again and had breakfast delivered to the room. We received a call that it soon would arrive. I was very surprised that it was Charlie, our butler, who brought it. They sent even more of each item than we asked for. I had my espresso as soon as I arose on the side balcony, then I enjoyed my breakfast out there as the Ma'amettes were still sleeping. Soon Natalie joined me This was the only ship excursion that we had purchases and we had tickets that stated we were to meet in Stardust Theater at 9:15 a.m. We arrived early......really early. We got there only to see this So we sat and waited while ALL of the other excursions were called to head to the tender deck for an hour. FINALLY and hour late, and one hour 25 minutes after we had arrived......we were able to go to the tender area!
