overeasy Posted February 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2016 So what are "adjusted points" and how does one obtain them?
Frank12 Posted February 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Hmmmm? Interesting. I'm curious too.
cruising maniac Posted February 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2016 I checked mine and it doesn't have a spot for adjusted points.
overeasy Posted February 24, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted February 24, 2016 I checked mine and it doesn't have a spot for adjusted points. I clicked on "My Cruises", then "Print Cruise History Details". That's when I saw it.
ATL_Miami_Cruiser Posted February 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2016 (edited) Interesting.. I see it too. I wonder if it's for those people that need to merge VIFP accounts or older cruises going back to the 1970's or some other one-off reasons. I'm curious now and will check with my PVP when I get a chance. I also noticed this at the bottom, *Cruises before 1999 do not have additional details. **You may see a cruise listed with zero VIFP Points, which indicates a cruise that's ineligible for VIFP Points, such as a complimentary cruise. Sorry we can't give you any VIFP Points, but we hope you had a great time Edited February 24, 2016 by ATL_Miami_Cruiser
RaiderCruiser Posted February 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Adjusted points are just that, adjustments to your balance. If, for any number of reasons, you didn't get credit for a previous trip, Carnival is very good to adding these back to your totals.
ATL_Miami_Cruiser Posted February 24, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Here's the response from my PVP; I believe the adjusted points is when incidents occur (cruise being cut short because of extenuating circumstances, like weather) Carnival will still give the full cruise length you booked. Additionally, guest that sailed way, way back before the online PG portal was established, can submit photos, etc. from the cruise and Carnival will research their request and grant them those days. tkportersat Posted February 24, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Hmm, never noticed that before. I know some folks have done older cruises before where they didn't show up in the history and have to send documentation or pictures to Carnival to prove they were on a sailing. Maybe it is for that
BIG GUY Posted February 24, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2016 That is exactly what the adjustment is all about. We noticed our cruises were missing a couple from 1993 & 94. We still have all our past Sail And Sign cards. So we sent in copies of these cards and about three weeks later we noticed the Adjustments on our cruise history.
